1. What is Sur Sadhika?

Sur Sadhika is the annual flagship singing contest by Sur Taal Sangam, dedicated every year as a tribute to Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar Ji. It provides a grand platform for singers of all ages to showcase their talent online as well as on stage.

2. Who can participate?

Anyone with a passion for singing! 🎤

Age Categories:
5–15 yrs |  16–30 yrs |  31–50 yrs |  51+ yrs
🎶 Duet Category (no age bar – from Quarter Finals onwards).

3. Is it only for females?

No. It is open for all.

​

4. How do I audition?

🟣 Step 1: Record a clear video of yourself singing any song of your choice.
🟣 Step 2: Send it along with your Name, Date of Birth & Place to:

5. What happens after auditions?

✅ Selected participants move to the Quarter Finals (Online OR On-Stage – your choice).
✅ From there, winners progress to Semi-Finals and then the Grand Finale.

Online and On-Stage contests are being held separately.

Online rounds will be held over live streaming on YouTube.

On-Stage rounds will be conducted at a venue in Lucknow.

​

Participants will have the choice after selection in auditions to choose any one between online and on-stage contest streams.

6. Is there a fee to participate?

​

• Audition: FREE

• From Quarter Finals onwards (nominal charges):

  • Online - Solo ₹199 | Duet ₹149 each singer

  • On-Stage - Solo ₹799 | Duet ₹599 each singer

7. What will I get by participating? What are the prizes?

 

Online contestants – 
🏆 E-Certificates for selected participants from Quarter Finals. 
📺  Winners will be invited in a Special Podcast with Sur Taal Sangam to share their musical journey. 
🌐 Highlighted on Sur Taal Sangam Website & Social Media. 
🧑‍🎓 Winners will get a chance to join a musical workshop for free. 
🎵 Exclusive performance opportunities in upcoming events.
 

Stage performance contestants – 
🏆 Attractive Mementos & Certificates for winners. 
🎙 The winners will be provided with excellent opportunities for professional studio recording and song promotion by Sur Tal Sangam.
📺 Winners will be invited in a Special Podcast with Sur Taal Sangam to share their musical journey. 
🌐 Highlighted on Sur Taal Sangam Website & Social Media. 
🧑‍🎓 Winners will get a chance to join a musical workshop for free.

8. Can I join both Online and On-Stage rounds?

You have to choose any one, either Online contest or On-Stage contest.

9. Do duet partners need to audition together?

👉 No. Each singer must send their solo audition video.
👉 From Quarter Finals onwards, you’ll be able to perform as a duet pair if your duet partner is also selected in the auditions.

10. Where will the Grand Finale happen?
